When you make the decision to restore a classic vehicle, you’ve decided on an investment. Quality restorations will hold their value over time, and eventually increase in value as the vehicle undoubtedly becomes rarer with time. While many places will just fill rust holes in with fiberglass or weld over rusty metal, here at Murdawg Custom we cut out all of the afflicted metal, and treat all metal with rust converter and rust inhibiting paints. There is nothing worse then seeing rust coming through your new paint job. As you can see in our customers car page there is no piece to small or to complicated to replace. If no one makes a patch panel for it we will.
One of the things we pride ourselves on is that we do not do cheap work, because it never saves money in the long run. Most will agree that it is better to have something done right the first time then to redo it. For example, on the 56 Rolls we are currently working on the people whom painted it the last time simply put filler over the rust holes and did not strip off the old paint. Since they did not take the proper steps, the paint on the car has cracked from being too thick, and rust bubbles have started to come through the paint. Attention to detail also takes time. A car can be masked off quickly but tape lines will not be straight, or on the correct line. Time must be taken to ensure that everything is perfect, and this you get a top quality job.
Here at Murdawg Custom we do not specialize in only one type or make of vehicle. We are willing to work on any vehicle, and find it more enjoyable as well. The 79 F-150 we did was a resto-mod while the 56 Rolls is being restored to factory specifications.
